Corona Cancelled Your Wedding. Now What?

Loulette Brides know how to make the most of their 2020 weddings.

The 2020 Wedding Season has seriously been thrown into chaos, and if you are/were/will be a bride this year, you know what we mean. But, love is never cancelled, and we are SO into all the creative, alternative wedding plans we have seen arise out of a true bummer of a situation.

Working with all my beautiful brides and catching up on the ever-changing wedding plans, I have been in such awe of everyone’s resilience, flexibility, and creativity as they adjust their events.

As we are all in this together, I wanted to share some of the best ideas I have heard from my Loulette lovelies, and some perfect alternative plans that may even feel more special and romantic than the original one!

Upstate Retreat

Find a fabulous upstate house, invite your nearest and dearest, and have a wedding house party! Find a local caterer, and have an intimate dinner party at the house to celebrate, followed by an all night outdoor dance party. Bonus points if the Aribnb has a hot tub!

Picnic Wedding

Grab all your A-listers, and invite them to an intimate picnic celebration at your favorite park! Have a local caterer deliver elevated picnic baskets to each of your guest’s blankets, so they can eat safely and comfortably outside.

Local Vendor Suggestions: Picnic blankets for your guests by Carolina Z Hurley, Flowers by Doe + Jay, and the best picnic lunch by my forever fave, my husband’s company Oak & Honey Catering

Me. You. Just us Two.

Elope! Take a drive, go to a National Park, wear the best outfits, and do the damn thing. Take the most epic pictures, and go glamping for your honeymoon. Basically, it’s what everyone WISHES they could do, and now you have the best excuse in the world to make it happen!
