The Loulette Edit : Your Flat Rate Alterations Process

Unlike many other bridal boutiques, here at Loulette we design, create, and alter your wedding gown to fit you perfectly.

Here are our favorite tips to be as prepared as possible for your alterations appointments!

  • BRING YOUR SHOES: We truly cannot stress this enough. At your first fitting, we mark the hem of your gown, so we need the shoes you’re going to be wearing for your wedding. For your final fitting, we want to ensure the length feels good! If you’re between shoes, then bring them all! We can always try different options with your gown, and then you can decide.

  • Undergarments: Please bring any undergarments you plan to wear or just want to try out so that we can ensure the proper fit of your gown.

  • Speak up! This is the time to let us know how you are feeling! Please feel free to share any information about the fit of your gown in the moment. Sanaa (our seamstress) is there to help and listen. It is much easier for us to change things in the moment, so by all means - CHAT AWAY!

  • Patience bb: The alterations process is just that- a process. For your first appointment, this is the bones of your gown, the “made to order” part. It won’t look just like the sample you tried on the first time, but no worries, this part is essential to ensuring the perfect fit. At the final fitting, it will be all finished and gorgeous!

  • Respect the Guest Policy: We only allow up to two guests for your alterations appointment for a reason. We want our seamstress to be able to focus, so please respect this rule!

  • ACCESSORIZE: We have a ton of hair clips, bows, earrings, veils, etc., for you to play around with, so keep that in mind for both of your appointments!
