Adjusting During Coronavirus | How our Favorite Local Businesses are Adapting!

We have all had to adjust our lives during the pandemic. But, small businesses that depend on events, personal communication, and open storefronts have had to not only adjust their own lives, but their whole business model.

As a brand known for our personalized appointments, we have had to seriously shift priorities for a couple months. We have been spending our time adjusting our calendars to accommodate ever-changing wedding dates. We have spent so much time making facemasks and surgical caps for donation. We launched some online sales to help donate to NYC Health and Hospital Systems, and expanded our offerings to include a Home Wedding Package with a gown rental! We are also prioritizing new, casual, elopement and small wedding styles to fit the bill for what’s to come.

But that’s just us. What else is going on in the neighborhood?

Oak & Honey Catering

As an event based biz, catering has taken a serious hit. Our local favorite, Oak& Honey, has adjusted to bring their delicious food right to you! Oak & Honey At Home is a meal kit delivery, with a new menu every Friday, and all you gotta do is heat it up. Oak & Honey is also run by my favorite human, my husband.

Ramona Cocktail Bar

I have said it before and I will say it again: To-Go Cocktails is the best thing to come out of quarantine. That and like, animals taking their planet back. But yes, to-go cocktails, and no one makes a better drink that our Greenpoint favorites at Ramona!

Overthrow Boxing

The fitness industry has been forced to make incredible adjustments in Coronaworld, and our favorite bar-turned-boxing gym, Overthrow, has launched Overthrow HomeSchool! And honestly, who doesn’t need to punch, sweat, and rage right now?

Brother Vellies

Our neighbor right around the corner, Brother Vellies, has launched a monthly delivery of Something Special, a surprise artisan gift from their makers. There is truly nothing better than getting something special and unexpected delivered these days.

The Happinest

Meditation is the essential service we all don’t know we need, and now The Happinest is offering virtual meditation sessions!

We are so grateful for the support of our past, present, and future brides, friends, and followers during this wild time. And we give so much credit to our fellow small businesses who have completely adjusted their businesses just to stay alive, especially our local Brooklyn loves! We will keep supporting you the best we can!

Stay well, Loulette loves!
